PBA Analysis: Is PBA a few COVID-19 cases away from SHUTTING DOWN FOREVER?

It seems like the on-going semi-bubble of the Philippine Basketball Association is rapidly turning into a disaster.

According to Homer Sayson of Spin.ph, there is already a minimum of 10 COVID-19 cases in the league. We are not sure if we are only talking about players here.

Games and teams are being quarantined right and left. The most recent ones were Meralco Bolts and Barangay Ginebra.

Unfortunately for us who are outside the league, we are not aware of real extent of infection in the league. But, it is pretty obvious that DOH is well-informed and the league knows that they have an ultimatum.

If six teams got infected. The tournament is shut down.

Here is the crucial point, the PBA is already in financial trouble. Commissioner Willie Marcial was clear that they cannot do another bubble because of financial constraints.

That is also the reason why PBA players are helping out in conducting the tournament. Unfortunately, the risk of it, being canceled is growing by the days.

I still cannot forget the statement of Gerry Ramos in one of the Point of View segments in Spin.ph. The PBA could die soon, because of some financial issues.

Will that happen soon if COVID-19 succeeds in ending the semi-bubble?
