PBA Trade Rumors: Alaska is targeting a superstar?

Alaska Aces failed to reach the playoffs in the ongoing conference but their future is surely bright as they are now scheduled to have two top 4 picks.

If the PBA fails to undertake the 2nd conference, Alaska could be choosing two of Jason Brickman, Thirdy Ravena, Jeremiah Gray, Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser and Taylor Statham.

Although, there is also another option for those two top 4 picks. How about finding a superstar that is available for trade?

Matthew Wright has been part of several trade rumors in the past. Fortunately for us, Phoenix is a legit team and they did everything according to their power to retain him.

Now, Alaska has been lingering in mediocrity in the past several years. No disrespect but it speaks a lot about the quality of coach Alex Compton who managed to pushed them consistently in the playoffs.

So, how about trying to get a current superstar in Matthew Wright and add him to their budding core of Abu Tratter-Jeron Teng-Gab Banal-Maverick Ahanmisi?

Wright is also the perfect fit for their current team as the Aces badly needs someone who can create and breakdown the defense.

I think, this trade is very sound for Alaska. Adding two top 4 picks is not a bad thing but Wright is so perfect for them that I think it is the better choice.

What do you think?
