PBA Trade Rumors: Another San Miguel trade offer for Greg Slaughter?

PBA on the Go continues to put trade rumors that we may need to debunk. As the history of the hit rate of his rumors are currently zero.

One of the recent rumors was a supposed offer of San Miguel Beermen to acquire the services of Greg Slaughter.

The account posted that the current offer of SMB is Alfonso Gotladera, Bam Gamalinda, James Sena and several 1st round picks.

Unless we are talking about five 1st round picks here, there is no way that those three plus four first-round picks are enough for a Greg Slaughter.

All of those veterans are legit PBA players but all of them are capped at 10th to 12th man of a championship team.

And these types of veterans are of course available in the free agency market. So, those three basically do not hold any trade value.

I do know that San Miguel has the hardest face in coming up with trades with their farm team. Still, fans will be aware that those three players are just recent free-agent signings.

I do not think it is worth the risk for them to do another one-sided trade after they just completed the CJ Perez one.
