PBA Trade Rumors: Magnolia and Phoenix, brewing another trade?

Magnolia Hotshots and Phoenix Super LPG pulled a huge trade last offseason. According to the most diligent spawner of trade rumors, another trade could be happening.

According to PBA on the Go of Twitter, Phoenix is interested in acquiring Jackson Corpuz of Magnolia. Corpuz was, of course, acquired by Magnolia from Terrafirma.

Corpuz is currently averaging 6.5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 44% FG and 36% 3FG per game. It is good to see that Jackson is now willing to take shots from beyond the arc and he is actually making a good amount of it.

Now, is it logical for Phoenix to be interested?

Looking at the current production of the players of Phoenix, Jackson may have a good fit. He is a forward, so he can easily play with Matthew Wright, Jason Perkins and Vic Manuel.

Jackson Corpuz, Wright and Perkins are all versatile players and can actually play together in the court. Actually, that line-up will be very interesting because of the plethora of skills that they have.

With Corpuz being a willing three-point shooter now, it has increased his value as an off-ball finisher. He is actually elite in that regard.

For Magnolia, they should be willing to give up Corpuz if they can get a much steadier outside shooter or a center.

Both are available in Phoenix.
