PBA Trade Rumors: Magnolia is really interested on Moala Tautuaa?

It seems like we will not get any trades now at this point because the playoff is just around the corner. That doesn't mean though that the management will now stop talking to each other for a potential trade.

Our current number one source of trade rumors is PBA on the Go in Twitter. Although he has not proven any credibility, it is nice to talk about the potential trade that he is babbling around.

One of them is his Tweet pointing to Paul Lee and Justin Melton. According to the account, Lee and Melton are really interested in Moala Tautuaa.

Should they be interested in Moala?

The answer is a big yes. If we look at the current rotation of Magnolia, Ian Sangalang and Rafi Reavis are the only Magnolia player taller than 6'5 to play more than 15 minutes per game.

I have big respect for coach Chito Victolero in his ability to build up a superb team even though he only has a few full-size bigman in his team.

Add the fact that Reavis is very near to his retirement and it is easy to see why Magnolia should be interested in a legit 6'7 center.

Tautuaa is currently averaging 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 0.8 assist, 55% FG and 39% from beyond the arc.

He is playing very well in a limited role. Imagine him playing more minutes for a team that could be a better fit for him.
