PBA Analysis: San Miguel's CJ Perez or TNT's Mikey Williams, who is overrated?

The current semifinals series between San Miguel Beermen and TNT Tropang Giga are building up to be a classic.

It was expected as the two squads are powerhouses in terms of their roster. They basically can create two different starting five for a PBA team.

Both teams also welcomed young guys in the semifinals atmosphere. The Beermen added CJ Perez through a controversial trade. While TNT asked for some help from NLEX, their sister team, to acquire Mikey Williams.

Both wing players are struggling right now. Both are recognized as savage scorers but both are currently not contributing that much in terms of point production.

Mikey is currently averaging 12.5 points, 29% FG, 24% 3FG, 5.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.3 turnovers per game in the semis.

While CJ Perez is producing 13.8 points, 39% FG, 22% 3FG, 5.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 2.8 turnovers, 1 steal and 1.3 block per game in the semis.

Both Fil-Foreigners are struggling to find efficiency as both squads are sending excellent defenders on them. Although, the effect of those lockdown defenders are more obvious in Mikey than in CJ Perez.

CJ is having trouble making good decisions. He is taking a lot of bad shots instead of trying to breakdown the defense further and create for his teammates.

Overall though, it is hard to say which guy is more overrated as they are both trying hard.
