PBA Trade Analysis: Alaska just loss a trade to Blackwater?

In a trade that surprises a lot of fans in the PBA universe, Alaska and Blackwater submitted a deal where Alaska was the clear loser.

Alaska received Mike Tolomia and 2023 BWE 2nd
Blackwater received Jvee Casio and Barkley Ebona

Tolomia did have a good conference but it should not count into anything, knowing that Blackwater ended up winless. Also, Casio is a proven brand. Ebona also is considered by a lot of people to be a premium young big.

And him being a bigman is another reason why it is not acceptable that it seems like they are just exchanging him for a 2nd round pick.

TEAM ANALYSIS
Alaska Aces

Alaska clearly was the loser of this trade. They gave up a competent veteran and a high quality young bigman for a role player and a 2nd round pick or we can already assume to be the #13 to #15 pick of that draft.

It seems like Alaska has other intentions with this trade. And even if we consider that, why can't they even ask for at least two 2nd round picks?

Did you ever imagine Blackwater winning trade by a mile? I did not. I just hope they will forever evaluate trades, the way they did here. They may have just added two starters and that will surely improve their team.
