PBA Trade Rumors: Is Ginebra about to become a FARM team?

If you hear the word farm team, the three teams that will enter your mind are Terrafirma Dyip, Blackwater Elite and Northport Batang Pier.

Terrafirma and Norhtport are connected with the San Miguel Corporation but Magnolia Hotshots seldom benefit from them. While Blackwater is helping the MVP group.

I am pretty sure that the idea of Ginebra being a farm team never crossed your mind. They are an SMC team and the most popular one.

But, if the rumors are true, they are about to become a farm team. We can describe farm teams as basketball squads that marinate players in preparation for much bigger things.

That is basically the role of Ginebra if Christian Standhardinger and Japeth Aguilar found their way to Japan B League.

Ginebra was the one who crafted the right role for Aguilar on both ends of the court. He was an excellent off-ball finisher and an elite team defender.

The reality is, Ginebra is at risk of experiencing something that is worse than what the farm team in the PBA had been living up with.
