PBA Trade Rumors: TNT will harvest Rashawn McCarthy from Blackwater?

Terrafirma is on a mission to end their streak of not reaching the playoffs. And their first step to do that is to exchange Rashawn McCarthy for Simon Enciso of Blackwater.

I think both of them are the same in terms of player type. They are big guards who can score are a lot and can be the quarterback.

In short, the trade is fair.

Now, I do not think we should talk about the impact on both teams. Instead, let us go directly to the point and check their fit to conglomerates that their new team is serving.

For Rashawn McCarthy, he will not be part of the MVP group circle. The question is, which MVP team badly needs him?

McCarthy is more of a complete guard/wing compared to Simon Enciso. I think, he will still get playing time in Meralco Bolts but the roster of Meralco is already so loaded for us to even consider it.

TNT is a good possibility too as Ryan Reyes continues to age. I am pretty sure coach Chot Reyes will appreciate getting another quality defender in Rashawn.

Although, their guard rotation is also loaded enough. Kib Montalbo may not even peak at this point. Even Pogoy's minutes is controlled.

So, the obvious answer is NLEX. They just let go of Kiefer Ravena. So, they have a big spot needed to be filled.
