2021 PBA Mock Draft 8.0: Alaska and Magnolia got their centers!

 

Here is our latest mock draft as TNT grabs their crown!

#1 BWE: Thirdy Ravena - Thirdy is still the man of this upcoming draft, especially after showing improvements in the ongoing 2021-2022 Japan B League tournament.

#2 ALA: Jason Brickman - I wonder if trading Jvee Casio is a sign of the position that the Aces is a point guard. In my eyes, Brickman is the best available PG prospect, not only this year but maybe in the last five drafts.

#3 DYIP: Justine Baltazar - Baltazar did not join Japan B League. A strong indication that he will be entering the upcoming draft. Will SMC, I mean Terrafirma, take advantage of that?

#4 ALA: Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser - I think, Alaska should still go for a bigman in this draft. Brandon is currently the best name with all the possibilities.

#5 BGSM: Mikh McKinney - In the last few years, the most talk about scoring Fil-Am guards are Mikh and Mikey Williams. We all saw the success of Mikey. I am confident that Mikh can be as good.

#6 NLEX: Taylor Statham - They badly need a consistent play creator. Someone who can break down the defense at will. Statham is that guy for this draft. He can easily be a better version of Munzon.

#7 ROS: Jeremiah Gray - I think, it will be hard to see Gray fall below Rain or Shine. Rain or Shine may want to look for someone that can take over the role of Gabe. Jeremiah has that potential.

#8 NOR: Juan Gomez de Liano - Northport is one of the few teams that can actually take a guard and has the potential to provide a lot of playing time. I also believe that SMC teams will be interested in Juan.

#9 BWE: Brandon Bates - There is a good chance that this giant will fall in the draft, the same way Troy Rike fell in the 2020 draft. Bates though is a different breed because of his strength.

#10 ROS: Javi Gomez de Liano - Javi has not started playing in Japan B League. If he will not play well, I expect him to return right away to the Philippines and enter the PBA draft.

#11 MAG: Jeo Ambohot - The connection of the San Miguel Corporation to Letran will make it a big possibility that Jeo will be drafted by an SMC team. Magnolia is a good choice because they need a bigman.

#12 BWE: Ken Tuffin - Thirdy, Bates and Tuffin will be an excellent draft haul for Blackwater. Tuffin will bring that all-around forward that every contender needs.
