PBA Trade Rumors: Ginebra is about to get a superstar shooter?

The upcoming Unrestricted Free-Agency is highly anticipated by the fans, the media and even the teams in the league.

If you are not aware, the first batch of eligible free agents will happen in the upcoming offseason. It will come from the draft class of Stanley Pringle.

One of the guys that can potentially lead the free agency is Chris Banchero. Phoenix can still avoid this by signing him in an extension.

It means that Phoenix is at risk of losing him for nothing. How can they avoid it? They can trade him now so that they can get something.

PBA on the Go stated that there is a discussion on-going between Ginebra, San Miguel and Phoenix. Phoenix will get Aljon Mariano, San Miguel get Chris Banchero and Barangay Ginebra will received Aljon Mariano.

For me, I do not have a problem with the trade. It is a solid exchange of solid starters. I actually think that Ginebra is the one that losses.

Nevertheless, they will still get an excellent three-point shooter that their team had been needing for the entirety of the tenure of coach Tim Cone.

On the other hand, San Miguel will get a guard that can take over the role of Alex Cabagnot as Simon Enciso smoothly transitions to the role of Marcio Lassiter.
