PBA Trade Rumors: Ginebra or Magnolia, where should Santos go?

Arwind Santos was supposed to be untouchable in San Miguel Beermen, next to Junemar Fajardo. Not only because of what he meant to the owner Ramon S. Ang, but because of his magnificent fit with the Kraken.

San Miguel Corp. though may have wanted to make a statement to all their players. Pointing out that anyone can be moved.

Now, that does not mean that Santos will retire as a Batang Pier. Even though he is already 40 years, Arwind is still effective in his role.

Last tournament, he averaged 12.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.3 blocks, 42% FG and 32% 3FG per game.

With that, it seems like Ginebra and Magnolia can still get a lot of value from him. But which one should get him?

Barangay Ginebra
There is no doubt about what he will bring to Ginebra. With his three-point shooting ability, he can play with any of their giants. The only problem now is the depth of the frontline of Ginebra.

Ginebra just added Sydney Onwubere and he plays the same position as Santos.

Magnolia
Magnolia is the SMC team that badly needs an addition in their frontline. With the age of Rafi Reavis and by not having a big giant, Hotshots may want to add another long player.

Santos also has the skillset that completes Sangalang, perfectly. He will provide spacing to Ian on offense and will cover the rim protection on defense.

So, between Magnolia and Ginebra, Magnolia is the better choice.
