PBA Analysis: Guiao-McDaniels is better than Cone-Brownlee?

If you look at the history of the Greatest of All Time, no matter what the team sport is, they always have a legendary coach with them.

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant had coach Phil Jackson. Tom Brady, considered to be the GOAT of the NFL, had Bill Belichick.

As long as you have this combination of transcendent talent and a transcendent mastermind, it works like magic.

In the PBA, we can consider the connection of coach Tim Cone and Justin Brownlee as such. For every year that Brownlee played in the PBA, he won a championship.

That is how dominant his pairing with Tim Cone, has been.

Now, that pairing will be challenged by coach Yeng Guiao and KJ McDaniels. McDaniels has been a monster in his stint in the PBA and of course, his resume is way better than that of Brownlee.

Now, he is partnered with coach Yeng. Coach Yeng, who has been a transcendent coaching mind. I do not think that there is even a coach out there that we can compare to coach Yeng, in terms of maximizing the talent of a team.

And I think, for the first time in his career, coach Yeng will handle the most talented guy in a tournament. This is the reason why it is not shocking to me, that NLEX is undefeated.

And if my assessment that coach Yeng and KJ is better than Coach Tim and Brownlee, then NLEX should be  considered as a serious title contender.
