PBA Free-Agency: A 6'9 giant center is an Unrestricted Free Agent!

Imagine being a professional basketball league with more than 40 years of history and still not having the ability to fully inform the public about the current free-agency status of your players?

That is the case of Maurice Shaw, who was traded to NLEX. Homer Sayson of Spin.ph brought out a column about alleged mistreatment of Shaw and at the end of the day, we found out that NLEX is actually not obliged all ready to cater to Maurice.

Why? Because he is already an unrestricted free agent! It means that no team is obliged to provide a training facility for him and that he can now sign with any team.

The question is, which team should try him out?

MERALCO BOLTS
I think, Meralco needs to add size as much as possible. This is because of how fragile the body of their main center, Raymond Almazan.

Coach Norman Black is known to be capable of maximizing big centers. So, Shaw could improve under his tutelage.

MAGNOLIA HOTSHOTS
Even though they added James Laput, I do not think it will be a mistake if they also add Shaw. Remember, that giants are the most important ingredient of a championship team. Rafi Reavis will retire soon.

ALASKA ACES
How about Alaska? Maurice is still getting payment from NLEX. So, Alaska may get a good contract deal with him. And they need some size.
