PBA Trade Analysis: Rain or Shine won another trade against Meralco Bolts?

It seems like Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and Meralco Bolts is building up a good partnership in terms of exchanging players.

Their first big trade was Raymond Almazan in exchange for two 1st round picks. By the looks of it, both sides can be argued as the winner of the trade.

For this trade, it is a much easier first look. Meralco traded Travis Jackson for Franky Johnson of Rain or Shine.

This is a fair trade, knowing that both guys are end of the bench guys. Travis has much longer experience but never got a consistent role.

MERALCO BOLTS
I do not think Franky and Travis are actually that far in terms of skill level and even playing style. I think Franky is more athletic and is more dynamic on the offensive end.

This is the reason why this is a questionable deal to me for Meralco in terms of fit as they are more in need of defense than offense in their perimeter.

RAIN OR SHINE ELASTO PAINTERS
It is easy to say that Rain or Shine won this trade because they got a #5 pick in exchange for a 2nd round selection.

The problem with that simple analysis was the decision to not give enough opportunity to Travis.
