PBA Trade Rumors: Magnolia and Northport is brewing a fair trade?

I am pretty sure that a lot of PBA fans are not happy with the trades that they saw in the last few months. Fortunately, the current rumors are pointing to trades that are way nearer to equilibrium.

One of them is this potential trade by Magnolia Hotshots and Northport Batang Pier, brought by PBA on the go on Twitter.

In this rumor, Magnolia will be sending Jackson Corpuz, Loren Brill, two 2nd round picks for Kevin Ferrer and Garvo Lanete.

Let us start dissecting it by comparing the two biggest names in the deal. Kevin Ferrer and Jackson Corpuz.

Ferrer produced 7.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 29% 3FG per game. Not the most impressive numbers but still better than what Corpuz did.

Corpuz produced 4.2 points, 3.8 rebounds and 41% FG per game. Ferrer is the better defender and will provide spacing.

So, Kevin should be valued higher than Corpuz.

Now, Garvo Lanete for Loren Brill and two 2nds is quite near. But I think Lanete is still valuable because those 2nds will be placing higher than 20s.

I think, the trade value are near, but Magnolia will still win the deal.
