PBA Trade Rumors: San Miguel wants a legit NBA veteran to replace their import!

The management of San Miguel Beermen is not happy with the production of Barry Brown. So, there is a report that they are now targeting Orlando Johnson, a legit NBA veteran.

Let me just say that we have been expecting this from Brandon Brown the moment he was chosen as the import of San Miguel.

Brandon currently is averaging 23.5 points, 13.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 2.8 steals, 44% FG and 27% 3FG per game.

Actually, those are nice numbers. The issue is his inconsistency from beyond the arc and his attachment to the ball.

Their current target is Orlando Johnson. Orlando has 103 NBA games under his belt. He played for the Indiana Paces, Phoenix Suns and etc.

In his NBA career, Orlando has a statline of 3.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.7 assist, 36% FG and 31% 3FG per game.

He is a proven scorer in his basketball career. What makes him a much better fit is his more consistent outside shot.

The problem though is the process of bringing Orlando here in the country. It seems like the working VISA that he needs will not be available in the near term.

Also, pandemic protocols could further derail his arrival.

In short, there is a much bigger chance that Brown will continue to be their guy.
