PBA Controversy: Magnolia's coach Victolero should accept the offer from Japan B League?

There is no question right now that Japan B League is a competitor of the Philippine Basketball Association.

After the departure of Kiefer Ravena and Bobby Ray Parks from the PBA, more offers came for PBA players.

Barangay Ginebra managed to fight back and retain Japeth Aguilar but I am pretty sure, that will be the last match.

PBA though will not only need to work their way in keeping their top stars. They should also try their best to retain the top coaches in the country.

Coach Chito Victolero of the Magnolia Hotshots confirmed that he was contacted by someone from Japan B League, discussing a potential move.

According to Homer Sayson, the potential increase in salary could range from X3 to X5. And that is, of course, life-changing.

I am not surprised that coach Chito received an offer because if you understand the basic fundamentals of today's game, his team is pretty elite on the majority of those.

The fact that he managed to keep Magnolia as good as he can even though he received the least support in the SMC hierarchy, is a big indication of that.

At the end of the day, I want him to say YES and try his wares in Japan. He will surely improve there and it should be taken as a step-forward by the basketball-coaching community in the country.
