PBA Free Agency: Ginebra added a 6'8 giant?

There is no question that Maurice Shaw will end up with one of the most interesting careers in the oldest professional basketball league in Asia.

Let me correct that. Maybe, we should not call it a career this early because Shaw did not even play 100 minutes yet in the PBA.

Maurice is the #2 pick of the 2019 PBA draft by the Blackwater Elite. Knowing Blackwater, it was not shocking that they are the ones who chose Maurice.

Now, the big news is that Shaw will get another opportunity to get into the PBA after Barangay Ginebra San Miguel signed him for their 3x3.

If you recall, Shaw was traded to NLEX and instead of maximizing his size, coach Yeng Guaio, decided to just throw him away and some analysts saw it as his reaction to what the management did to his team.

Now, do not expect Shaw to play with Ginebra's main team, anytime soon. He needs to show first that he can dominate the 3x3 circuit.

He will be the biggest player in this competition. So, if he cannot put up pretty awesome numbers, he should just call it a career.

Also, Ken Holmqvist has not even received consistent minutes. Ken was the #13 pick of the most recent draft and he is also a 6'8.

Other than that, Ginebra is just so deep in their frontline that to expect Shaw to even play with Ginebra's 5x5 team this year, is a bad idea.
