PBA Free Agency: Ginebra found a Pringle replacement?

If you are not aware, the PBA decided that this 2022, all of the expiring contracts will not be automatically renewed even though the tournament is still ongoing.

Nard Pinto is one of those players with expired contracts entering 2022. Meralco Bolts did make an offer but Nard turned it down.

Pinto decided to sign with the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel. Ginebra just lost Stanley Pringle to a long-term injury.

Pinto averaged 8.3 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 0.5 steal, 39% FG and 35% 3FG per game. He was a stellar guard for the Bolts.

Is he a good fit for Ginebra?

He should be fine with Ginebra because he is not a bad shooter and the guy is a hard worker on both ends of the court.

Coach Tim Cone loves guys like Pinto. Pinto is not the most skilled out there but he can be positive on the floor because he doesn't stop.

Although, do not expect him of course to provide the numbers of a Stanley Pringle. Pringle manufactured 17.2 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.1 steal per game.

Pinto should be a good 10-15 minutes guy for them.
