PBA Analysis: San Miguel is bringing in another legit NBA veteran import?

 

The San Miguel Corporation teams continue to claim back some thunders from the last dance of Alaska as SMB shocked the entire PBA universe by changing their import.

They just brought back Orlando Johnson during this resumption of games and the guy produced 21.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5 assists per game. 

They won one of the two games with him and it was against the powerhouse, Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.

So, why are they doing this? Is Orlando suffering from a lingering injury? Is he bad in the locker room? Are his numbers not good enough?

The reality is, there is a good chance that San Miguel is just over-reacting with what they saw in Orlando's first game.

Even if Shabazz is really their target, I do not think it is the right decision to again change import at this point of the tournament.

What happens now if Shabazz is actually not as impactful as expected? Changing him will be near impossible already.

Also, Shabazz is actually not that different from Orlando Johnson. The biggest difference is their NBA pedigree.

But, I do not think NBA pedigree is enough reason to make a change now.
