PBA Free Agency: Alaska added a bigman and a future superstar?

Alaska Aces is no doubt one of the biggest losers of the free agency in this season. They failed to keep Gab Banal and Rodney Brondial.

Fortunately, the management keeps on making moves and trying to survive. So, they decided to add Bryan Faundo as a replacement for Brondial.

And I think, this is an excellent decision.

There is a good argument that in terms of quality, Faundo is just on par with Brondial. Defensively, Brondial is much agile and better in defending the perimeters but Faundo is bigger and more capable against the giants.

Offensively, Brondial is better in handling and making passes but Faundo has established himself as an elite midrange shooter.

That will give good spacing for his teammates.

But the much bigger addition is finally the signing of their Gilas draftee, the former NCAA superstar Allyn Bulanadi.

Allyn could be that special wing player that Alaska badly needs. Someone who can be a consistent threat from beyond the arc.

If he can be that guy, Alaska then can focus on finding their point guard of the future.
