PBA Team Power Ranking: Magnolia and Meralco move up in the ranking?

With the plethora of moves and decisions made in the past two weeks, we need to update our ranking. Do we have a new #1?

#10 Northport (#10 last ranking)
So, Northport is currently winless and now they may not have Robert Bolick and Greg Slaughter. That is just a very bad look at this point.

#9 Phoenix (#7 last ranking)
I really feel bad for the Phoenix franchise. They tried hard to compete but the timing of a lot of things are just not favoring them.

#8 Rain or Shine (#9 last ranking)
Rain or Shine may have lost a young player in Adrian Wong but they still have their core to compete pretty well.

#7 Alaska (8 last ranking)
Alaska fans should really hope that Bulanadi will have the quality of being an ace player because that would mean that they are about to create a superb young squad by the upcoming draft.

#6 San Miguel (#6 last ranking)
Will San Miguel make a move after Meralco made that strong signing? Or are they contented with what they have and with what they badly lack?

#5 Barangay Ginebra (#4 last ranking)
With the re-signing of Prince Caperal, Ginebra arguably has the deepest frontline in the league. The question is, is Pinto good enough already without Stanley Pringle?

#4 NLEX (#3 last ranking)
Do not lose sight of NLEX. They still have the best player in the tournament and they just got plenty of rest.

#3 Meralco (#5 last ranking)
The talent upgrade from John Pinto to Christopher Banchero is so huge that they need to be a top 3 team. I think, they now have the talent to challenge the talent level of the other elite teams.

#2 Magnolia (#2 last ranking)
They will be #2 for now but there is a good chance that they will move either to #1 or to a lower ranking as early as the first week of the tournament.

#1 TNT (#1 last ranking)
The addition of Matthew Ganuelas-Rosser is a solid one for TNT. I just wonder if there will be no chemistry issues, especially since they are bringing a new import for the presumption of the tournament.
