PBA Trade Rumors: Is Ginebra considering replacing Brownlee?

Barangay Ginebra is missing their best local player in Stanley Pringle due to an injury. Nevertheless, there is still a strong argument that Ginebra's current best 5 of Christian Standhardinger - Japeth Aguilar - Justin Brownlee - Scottie Thompson - LA Tenorio is still top 2 in the league.

So, it is very interesting to see them at 3-3, losing their last three games. Fans are starting to be afraid of a repeat of the 2021 Philippine Cup.

And now we heard that they may replace Justin Brownlee soon as their import. Is this even a logical option for them?

It is not. The guy is still a monster this year, producing 27 points, 10.8 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.2 steals, 1.4 blocks, 52% FG and 35% 3FG per game.

I mean, he is the perfect import for Ginebra. He is that elite spacer that Ginebra badly needs. He can and will create shots for his teammates. And his defense is also very good.

Add the reality that Ginebra needs a player like him because Stanley Pringle is out. He is their undisputed ace player and he is playing like an ace player.

In short, he is not the problem.

What is the problem? Their defense. They are currently giving up the six most points per game. Remember that Ginebra's main selling point in their past success was defense.

And the reality is, the biggest difference this season from the past ones was the addition of Standhardinger.

So for me, this is hard rumor to believe.
