PBA Trade Rumors: Magnolia forward should not be the trade target of Phoenix

According to PBA on the Go, Phoenix Super LPG is not done trading. They just sent Justin Chua to NLEX for Kris Porter, a 2022 1st round pick and a 2nd round pick.

Now, in his latest rumor, he said that Magnolia Hotshots and Phoenix are talking again and it could be a Jackson Corpuz for Nick Demusis and that 2022 NLEX 1st.

I am not a big fan of this rumor for Phoenix. Jackson was traded to Magnolia and a lot of people thought that he will play a big role.

In the last two tournaments, he is only averaging less than 15 minutes. A clear indication that he is not being trusted by coach Chito Victolero and I think it is because of the bad combination of bad three-point shooting and below-average defense.

So, if Phoenix will push for this trade, it will be a clear victory for Magnolia. They will let go of a player that is not playing a crucial role for their team and they will get a 1st round pick that they can work with in the future.

In short, I am hoping that this trade is not true. Although, PBA on the Go's rumor has been happening more, lately.

If Phoenix wants to get someone for a 1st round pick from Magnolia, the guy should be Aris Dionisio. The sophomore has clear potential.

Or much better, Phoenix should keep the 1st and just decide next season.
