PBA Trade Rumors: Top Trade Assets of Ginebra, NLEX, Dyip, Elite

All systems go for the upcoming return of the Philippine Basketball Association this Friday, February 11, 2022.

Before we reach that point, let us first rundown the top trade assets of each team. When we say top trade asset, I am talking about the player that will give the team the best net value in a fair exchange.

Ginebra - Prince Caperal
With Japeth Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger extended and with the rise of Arvin Tolentino, I do not think Ginebra actually needs Caperal that much. On the other hand, the majority of the other teams may want to have a 6'6 center who can hit three-pointers.

NLEX - Kevin Alas
Kevin is currently the top local scorer of NLEX at 15.0 points with 49% FG per game. This boils down to the quality of coach Yeng Guiao as a coach. They can easily maximize Kevin's trade value and I am confident coach Yeng will be able to mold a 15.0 scorer for the next tournament.

Terrafirma - Alex Cabagnot
Cabagnot will not be able to continue playing in the Governors' Cup due to injuries. But with his name recognition, Terrafirma should still get good value for him that could help them compete this year. Actually, I do not think SMC teams will look and trade for Alex as an injured player.

Blackwater - Jayvee Casio
Casio still has that name value that should net the Elite with good young pieces. And I think good young pieces are what they need right now.
