PBA Controversy: Gilas' 30 PBA players pool should be?

According to reports, coach Chot Reyes, together with Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, is negotiating now with the PBA in coming up with a 30 players pool that will be the choices in coming up with the team that will compete in the 2023 FIBA World Cup that will be happening here in our country.

What is not clear to me is, if the amateur players will still have a chance in making the team. Knowing what Dwight Ramos and Thirdy Ravena did last February, I think Gilas will have spots for these amateur players.

Nevertheless, I want to share my idea of the perfect 30 PBA players pool for Gilas.

Bigmen
#1 Junemar Fajardo
#2 Japeth Aguilar
#3 JP Erram
#4 Raymond Almazan
#5 Ian Sangalang
#6 Isaac Go
#7 Greg Slaughter
#8 Troy Rosario
#9 Beau Belga

The choices here are simple. Let the biggest and most talented set of bigmen be part of the pool because it is our biggest issue.

Forwards/Wingmen
#10 Matthew Wright
#11 Calvin Abueva
#12 Gab Banal
#13 Marcio Lassiter
#14 Javee Mocon
#15 Santi Santillan
#16 Arwind Santos
#17 Kevin Ferrer
#18 Mac Belo
#19 Alvin Pasaol
#20 Allein Maliksi
#21 Arvin Tolentino

I am happy to see that the number of credible tall shooters in the PBA is increasing. And I think the pool should have a lot of them because we will need them.

Guards
#22 Robert Bolick
#23 RR Pogoy
#24 CJ Perez
#25 Terrence Romeo
#26 Scottie Thompson
#27 LA Tenorio
#28 Jayson Castro
#29 Paul Lee
#30 Mark Barroca

Of course, the guard position is the deepest position. But, I hope they will get the smallest number in this position because the other two positions are more important.
