PBA Trade Rumors: NLEX is looking to trade for a Jericho Cruz replacement

This is now the by-product of having your Unrestricted Free AGency in the middle of a tournament. Those teams who will lose players due to free agency will need to act quickly in trying to find a replacement.

NLEX is currently facing that dilemma. According to PBA on the go, they are looking at four names. Namely, Baser Amer, Rashawn McCarthy, Paul Desiderio and Justin Melton.

Out of those four, I do not think Baser Amer, Paul Desiderio and Justin Melton are that interesting. All of them are currently playing for farm teams and they are all struggling. Desiderio could be a top 4 pick but he is not playing as such.

Rashawn McCarthy is the most interesting target because he is a big guard who is athletic enough to score, defend and shoot.

I am pretty sure coach Yeng Guiao will appreciate his willingness to take outside shots and his ability to create them.

I wonder though if coach Yeng will be willing to look for a much bigger fish, knowing that Barangay Ginebra and SMB are currently struggling.

How about asking for Chris Ross of San Miguel Beermen? Maybe, NLEX can offer enough assets to get him.

Or, how about trying to talk to Ginebra about Kent Salado? The young guard that they cannot give consistent minutes to.

Or maybe, LA Tenorio? Tenorio will surely make NLEX a better title contender.
