PBA Free Agency: Magnolia is getting a Converge star?

As expected, Converge may not be having a roster that will be resembling the last roster ever of Alaska Aces.

One of their core players that were put in the spotlight right away is Maverick Ahanmisi, whom they traded from Rain or Shine

According to an initial report of Tiebreakertimes, Maverick will test free agency.

And then a much bigger rumor sprouted, stating that Maverick is planning to join his brother in Magnolia.

Fit-wise, I do not see the point of Maverick joining Magnolia, knowing that Magnolia has one of the deepest guard rotations in the league.

Like, how can he get minutes with Paul Lee, Jio Jalalon, Mark Barroca and his brother there? Even Rome Dela Rosa is getting minutes in the guard spot.

Last week though, Maverick cleared those rumors by going live on his social media account and providing an explanation.

There was no truth to them and that contract negotiation between him and Converge has not even started. And this is one with the commissioner's Chito Salud's statement in his interviews.

I think, staying with Converge will be the best for their career Maverick. Converge can pay him and he has a role there.
