2022 PBA Mock Draft: Converge is about to win bigtime?

Now that the list of applicants is in, here is our latest draft mock!

#1 BWE Justine Baltazar - Barefied deserves to be considered for the top choice but Justine is the man here. He is big, mobile and very skilled so he can be the face of the franchise.

#2 DYIP Sedrick Barefield - I am pretty sure Sedrick is more than capable of also being a dominant import in other leagues but he chose to enter the PBA early. I hope he will help Terrafirma to change its mind and start competing seriously in the league.

#3 CON Jeremiah Gray - Gray is the third biggest name in this draft. So, it is easy to see Converge picking him just because of that. He has very high potential but will come with big injury risk.

#4 CON Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser - With Justin Baltazar managing to beat the deadline, Converge could be adding two blue-chip prospects from this draft. A Gray-BGR rookie duo can be special.

#5 ROS Jeo Ambohot - At this point in the draft, Jeo may have the highest potential. And Rain or Shine is missing that young bigman for their future.

#6 NOR Will Gozum - Gozum is one of those centers that failed to get an opportunity in the UAAP but manage to show up in NCAA. Robert Bolick should be familiar with that story.

#7 NLEX Gian Mamuyac - I expect NLEX to choose between the three Ateneo guards who declared and I think coach Yeng will be leaning towards Gian because of his defense.

#8 BGSM Encho Serrano - A guard is a good target for Ginebra and they are very familiar with Encho. He is athletic with a good level of potential.

#9 BWE Tyler Tio - I expect Blackwater to go for one of those Ateneo guards. Tyler is a sweet shooter who can follow the current trend of Adrian Wong, also an Ateneo alumnus.

#10 BWE Javi Gomez de Liano - The name of Javi will propel him into the first round of this draft. He failed to show up in Japan but the guy is skilled to be a good PBA player.

#11 ROS Justin Arana - Arana managed to pump up his value with his performance in the ongoing NCAA. He is an energetic bigman that we can expect to blossom with Danny Ildefonso there to mentor him.

#12 MAG Jayson David - David is a very interesting prospect for me because of the combination of size, athleticism and playmaking. He could be a lite version of Aaron Black.
