We are at the point of the early half of the tournament that we can already talk about the potential trade targets of each team.
For this edition, we will start with Magnolia Hotshots, Northport Batang Pier, Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and NLEX Road Warriors.
Magnolia Hotshots - Jamie Malonzo
First things first, we are applying the open secret here that Northport is a farm team of the San Miguel Corporation. Malonzo is having an awesome start to this conference while Magnolia is struggling.
One area that they badly need to beef up is scoring. Malonzo is currently #12 in scoring and he is the #1 rebounder right now. Magnolia is currently in the middle of the pack in terms of rebounding.
Northport - Abu Tratter
Northport should not trade Jamie Malonzo. I just want to make that clear even though we understand that the possibility is big.
Northport has the clearest weakness in the league. They need a center. Converge is loaded with bigman after grabbing two centers in the draft. So, I believe Tratter can be taken for the right package.
Rain or Shine - 1st round pick
Rain or Shine should try to read the words in the sand and tank this season. There talent level is just not on the level of the elite squads. So, it is time to trade at least one veteran star to grab another future 1st round pick.
NLEX - Rashawn McCarthy
I know that coach Yeng Guaio is more than capable of maximizing his current guard rotation. But on average, they still have a lot of space for additional firepower like McCarthy.
