PBA Analysis: Ginebra should trade Stanley Pringle, soon?

Barangay Ginebra San Miguel just tied the quarterfinals series against Meralco Bolts when I remembered the greatness of one of their players.

If you look at the current player stats of Ginebra, you will see that their current top scorers are Scottie Thompson and Japeth Aguilar.

These two superstars are not the usual guys at the top of the scoring hierarchy of the most popular ballclub in the country.

Their guy was Stanley Pringle.

Actually, they traded for Stanley to be that guy. And he has shown in his time in Northport that he can be that guy. He can be that consistent scorer.

Unfortunately, injury started to slow him down. And last conference, Ginebra managed to win the championship without him.

This conference, he is really struggling. He is only making 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 37% FG and 34% 3FG per game.

Even if they succeed in getting a semifinals ticket, the big question remains. Is it time to replace Stanley with an in-prime primary scorer?

I think, Ginebra should really consider the possibility. Although, a championship run this tournament should give them an opportunity to assess Stanley, better.
