PBA Controversy: Ginebra coach Tim Cone transferring to the NBA, will that happen?

Coach Tim Cone made sure to clarify before he left the country that he will not go to America to join the coaching staff of the Miami Heat.

He will only go there for two weeks and be part of the coaching staff of the summer league team of the South Beach squad.

He even explained the concept of Summer League and that coach Erik Spoelstra will not even be the head coach of that team.

Nevertheless, a recent interview sheds a light about the relationship of coach Spo and coach Tim Cone. Coach Tim said that they have known each other since 2009.

Now, coach Spoelstra described coach Tim Cone as an absolute legend here in the Philippines with his 24 crowns and that coach Tim can still go for 20 more years of coaching.

Now that is interesting. We have a fellow Filipino coach here who recognized the greatness of coach Tim Cone and even believed that he can still go for 20 years.

Is he implying that coach Tim Cone is more than capable of trying to find a way into the NBA? And if coach Spo is really this big of a believer of coach Tim, he can easily put him on his coaching staff knowing that his success gave him such power.

Coach Tim never said that he doesn't want to join an NBA coaching staff.

What happens if such an opportunity will be offered to him?

I hope he says yes.

The question then will be, who will replace him in Ginebra?
