PBA Power Ranking: Ginebra is down from the #1 rank!

We are on the winding up of our elimination round!

#11 Northport
Northport is about to waste a monstrous season by Jamie Malonzo. Jamie is averaging 17.1 points, 43% FG, 11.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.5 blocks per game.

 #10 Rain or Shine
From start to finish, Rain or Shine was in the bottom of our ranking. The question now is, should they replace coach Chris Gavina? I think, it will not be a bad idea as long as the tanking will continue.

 #9 Phoenix
It will not be easy to salvage a playoff seat with their current record bout out of the three 2-6 teams, Phoenix for me is the best bet.

#8 Converge
If you look at the team statistics of Converge, they are almost on the middle to lower half of every category. I think their youth is the biggest factor. If they will do that, I hope they will find a modern coach.

#7 Blackwater
The excellent showing of Blackwater against San Miguel has strengthened my belief on them. Objectively though, I still cannot put them into the top 6. Nevertheless, Yousef Taha is looking like one of the top 10 centers in the entire association. If he can be the same guy in the playoffs, Blackwater could do something destructive.

#6 NLEX
NLEX is suddenly sliding hard. They are currently fourth and third worst in rebounds and assists, respectively. I kept them above Blackwater because they do have three superb scorers in Calvin Oftana, Don Trollano and Kevin Alas.

#5 Meralco
Meralco is still above .5 but just hanging by a single game. One guy that I was excited about when we entered this season was Alvin Pasaol. Unfortunately, Meralco is so deep for him to get consistent minutes.

#4 Magnolia
Paul Lee returned to the line-up victorious. That is just a single game though. Can Paul be healthy now for the upcoming playoffs? We will find out.

#3 TNT
TNT delivered an excellent win against Ginebra. But, that is not enough yet for me to push them above Ginebra. I still think that their schedule will have a negative effect on their upcoming playoff run.

#2 Ginebra
Ginebra has some glaring issues with their upcoming entry to the playoffs. I think, securing a twice-to-beat edge is a must now. Although, the health of Stanley Pringle could still be the key to their success.

#1 San Miguel
From a question mark to now a positive mark. I now see the injured players of SMB as a luxury for their upcoming playoffs. And we are talking about Terrence Romeo, Vic Manuel and Chris Ross here.
