PBA Trade Rumors; The five teams that should make a trade offer for Matthew Wright

Although we are anticipating Matthew Wright to play elsewhere after this Philippine Cup, it is still shocking to hear the news that he has played his last game for this tournament.

Here is the good news though for PBA fans, his door for the PBA is not yet close. Actually, Phoenix offer is still on the table and he is actually open to playing for another PBA team.

His focus in the short term is his upcoming wedding in the United States. After that, he will need to decide quick because Japan B League is about to start.

The question now is, who are the top 5 teams that should consider trading for him and what should be the package.

Blackwater Elite
If Blackwater management is now inspired to take PBA contention seriously, they should really consider a trade for Matthew Wright. They have their first round picks to entice Phoenix. Actually, even Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser can be put into the table because they managed to be successful even without him.

Like, Phoenix should be happy to get a Brandon Ganuelas-Rosser and the 2023 1st round pick of Blackwater. I also think that fans will actually see that as a fair trade knowing that Brandon was just the #1 pick and Wright is a superstar.

Magnolia Hotshots
Magnolia is currently averaging the second lowest three-pointers made per game in the league. They badly need to add an effective three point shooter.

So, how about Matthew Wright? Of course, we all know about the rumored Paul Lee for Matthew Wright exchange. I actually think Phoenix will benefit more if the package will be centered around Aris Dionisio and James Laput.

NLEX Road Warriors
After the departure of Kiefer Ravena, NLEX needed a year to establish a hierarchy in scoring. They now have three reliable scorers in Calvin Oftana, Don Trollano and Kevin Alas. Unfortunately, none of them are an alpha scorer.

I think NLEX will benefit a lot in the addition of one Matthew Wright. The package can actually be centered around the 2023 1st of Phoenix and Don Trollano.
