PBA Trade Rumors: Ginebra, Dyip, Bossing, Phoenix, Top Trade Asset!

I know that trading for this 2022 PBA Philippine Cup is already not allowed. That does not mean though that we cannot point out the top trade asset of each team.

To simplify, this is the player or draft pick that we think can give a team the most net value. We will start with Barangay Ginebra, Terrafirma Dyip, Blackwater Elite and Phoenix Super LPG.

Barangay Ginebra - Jeremiah Gray
Ginebra is a contender this year and in its foreseeable future. It is good to have a high potential player in Gray but now that they are struggling, Like, failing to win two to three championships now because you did not trade Gray for a useful player now may not be worth it with the injury risk of Jeremiah.

Terrafirma - Juami Tiongson
What is the point of retaining a very good veteran point guard if you cannot win? It is way much better for them to just give him up for another future value.

Blackwater - JV Casio
Casio is having a renaissance season. After being relegated to the bench in Alaska, he finally found a team that will trust him again as their main point guard and he is thriving. Nevertheless, Casio is quite old for the young core of Blackwater. The chances that father time will soon catch up to him is really high. So, trading him for a younger piece with a higher potential will be an excellent value move for Blackwater.

Phoenix - Matthew Wright
The rumors are loud. Phoenix is almost out of the contention for this tournament already. Letting go of Matthew to Japan is a respectable decision to avoid any taint of farm team accusation but trading him for a good package is way better for the future of the franchise.
