Let us continue our series of articles about the top trade assets of each team. To simplify, this is the player or draft pick that we think can give a team the most net value. We will continue with Magnolia Hotshots, TNT Tropang Giga, Meralco Bolts and Rain or Shine Elasto Painters.
Magnolia - Paul Lee
Magnolia's coaching staff was tired of the in and out of Paul Lee in the line-up due to injuries that they gave him the maximum amount of rests. They managed to still claim a good seed even without Paul. I also think that it proved that Magnolia is still an elite team without Paul.
Knowing that and Paul's injury history, I think Magnolia can get a package that will be more helpful for them than keeping the Leethal weapon.
TNT - Jayson Castro
I am pretty sure that only the diehard TNT fans are aware about the existence of Jayjay Alejandro. He is a point guard who is doing well in this tournament. With their super deep guard rotation, I think TNT can get a superstar package for Castro and their guard rotation will remain to be one of the best in the league.
Meralco - Mac Belo
Meralco should salvage the remaining trade value now of Belo instead of letting him continue to rot in the end of the bench of the team. They can easily trade him for a center that they badly need.
Rain or Shine - Beau Belga
Belga is still Belga but knowing the current status of Rain or Shine, I do not see the point of keeping him. They do not have the talent to be a playoff contender. So, how about letting of one of your superstar to get pieces that can help in the future.
