Believe it or not but the deadline for PBA teams to make a trade will be this Friday already. The question is, who are the top players that are likely to be traded soon?
Here is my top 10!
#10 Jared Dillinger
If Barangay Ginebra will make a change in their line-up before the deadline, I can see them using one of the big names in their bench. Jared is popular enough to use him and a pick for a starting caliber player.
#9 Terrence Romeo
San Miguel is playing so well right now that the possibility of them trading one of their injured stars for a usable one is on the table. Terrence is so popular but also so injury prone. Just the right reason to maximize him now through a trade.
#8 Robert Bolick
Robert is suddenly on the sideline again due to an injury. That could just be the thing that Northport is waiting for to use as a reason to sell Robert again to an SMC team.
#7 Beau Belga
With the struggle of Rain or Shine, I think they should really consider selling their old names for young ones. Belga is one of their highest paid player and also a star that can fetch them good young assets.
#6 Juami Tiongson
With their Jeremiah Gray trade, Terrafirma is still a farm team to the SMC. With their current struggle, Terrafirma can easily craft a reason to sell Juami to SMC.
#5 Greg Slaughter
The invite by the Gilas program could be a sign that Greg still has a chance of playing in the PBA. Northport can get something for him that they can sell in the long run.
#4 Norbert Torres
Just like the explanation for Beau, we look at Rain or Shine as a team that can try to trade to get younger pieces. Torres is much easier to exchange than Beau.
#3 Paul Lee
Paul Lee is nearing his return to the court. Magnolia is not currently a top 3 team. In a way, the coaching staff is showing signs of impatience with the injuries of Paul. Increasing the likelihood of a trade.
#2 Mac Belo
Mac Belo was not traded in the offseason. Nothing has changed though. He only played in two games. Making it more obvious that they can easily trade him for value.
#1 Joshua Munzon
Following the case of Juami, I just think that Joshua is a much likelihood to be traded if one of the SMC teams will crave for a potential superstar.
