PBA Controversy: PBA over Gilas, still?

If coach Chot Reyes wants to get the approval of a portion of the basketball fan base here in the Philippines, this upcoming window will  be a great chance.

He will be having the two most important player for Gilas, Kai Sotto and Jordan Clarkson. Clarkson will easily be the most talented player in the upcoming competition.

Unfortunately, coach Chot Reyes will be facing some issue as the Gilas pool that he created focus too much on guards and wings and now their frontline depth will be an issue.

Ian Sangalang will not be available because of an injury. Japeth Aguilar may not be there too because he is currently under health protocol.

Of course, the bigs in the finals, Junemar Fajardo and Poy Erram, will not be there too. Unless the PBA will really show 100% support to the preparation of Gilas and postpone some of the games of the upcoming finals.

Without Sangalang and Aguilar, the remaining centers are Kai Sotto and Raymond Almazan. Even though two centers could be enough, I doubt that the combo of Sotto and Almazan will be the right duo to do that.

Carl Tamayo and Kevin Quaimbao will be there to be the partner bigs but they are not big enough to be the biggest player inside the court.

The ball now is on the court of the PBA. Is that the support that they have been talking about already?
