PBA Controversy: TNT superstar Jayson Castro should still be part of the Gilas squad!

I am one of the believers that Kiefer Ravena is the most talented point guard that is available for Gilas Pilipinas.

So, I am currently on the side that he should be part of the final 12 of Gilas for FIBA 2023.

But with what I saw with Dwight Ramos and Jordan Clarkson, there could be a good case that he may not be there.

And that Jayson Castro is still our best option.

This is because Kiefer needs to control the game to unlock his full arsenal. He is not really a support-type of player.

With two ball-heavy players in JC and Dwight, I think the value of Kiefer is diminished to the point that I am starting to believe that Castro is the better option.

Castro is still a good support player because his quick-first step is still there. The guy can blow-by mismatches or slash to the basket if needed.

He will also be a better guy for the locker room of Gilas. 

SBP should think deeply if they should make a clutch play and try to convince Castro to play one last time.
