PBA Imports Highlights: Rain or Shine choose an NBA veteran as reinforcement!

In this edition of the PBA imports analysis, we will talk about the independent teams of the league. Can Rain or Shine and Phoenix bounce back in this upcoming conference?

It will not be easy as they will also need to find a way to overcome the guest team that will have the biggest line-up in the league.

Phoenix - Kaleb Wesson
Phoenix will bring in a young player as their import. Wesson is only 23 years old and ended his college career, just three years ago.

If you look at the numbers though, there is nothing special about him. In terms of credentials, he could be one of the worsts. In a way, he is a traditional bigman who can hit occasional three-pointers. If he can be a modern bigman in the PBA, Phoenix will surely benefit.

But, if he falls into the trap of trying to overpower his defenders even though he actually do not have that level of post moves to be dominant, Phoenix will struggle.

Rain or Shine - Daniel Ochefu
Daniel was undrafted in the 2016 NBA draft but he still found a way to play 19 games in the NBA with the Washington Wizards.

Looking at the numbers, there is nothing special about Daniel. Even his numbers in the NCAA was just fine. But, looking at his highlights, he is very interesting.

He is very aggressive and he is really huge. Although, he will not add that much skills to his team other than his power and size.
