Mr. Homer Sayson just posted a very interesting tweet. He said that the import of the San Miguel Beermen has been signed long time ago and he is a former top 10 pick in the NBA draft.
Who can it be?
I scoured all the drafts after 2008 and saw the possibility that these players can be the one. Actually, the list is short because I did not consider players who are not playing in the last several years and those who will not meet the 6'10 height limit.
Let me rank them according to my excitement.
#3 Michael Kidd-Gilchrist
Remember the 2012 draft? He was the #2 pick in the draft where Anthony Davis was the #1. He has eight seasons under his belt and his biggest selling point was his defense. I mean, he was clearly a top 20 defender in the NBA. So, it will be very interesting to see his defense in the PBA if he is the guy for SMB.
#2 Jabari Parker
I will not be shocked if he is the most popular out of the three here in the list. He is also a #2 pick. He was part of the 2014 draft headed by Andrew Wiggins and currently led now Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic. Parker last played for Boston. He is a scoring machine with a high level of offensive skills.
#1 Josh Jackson
I am of course most excited about the most entertaining option. Jackson is an athletic freak who was the 4th pick of the 2017 draft. He will not only be interesting inside the court but outside because he has a long history of attitude issues.
