I commend Rain or Shine for sustaining their stand as an independent team in the PBA even though they are obviously having a hard time, financially.
That doesn't mean though that they do not have any chance of winning a crown in the future.
So, here are the trades that they should consider.
Ginebra-Rain or Shine
Prince Caperal, Kent Salado, two 1st round picks for Beau Belga
At first glance, it looks like Rain or Shine is getting dimes for a dollar. But getting two late 1sts in two potential deep drafts. An in-prime center and a potential starting caliber point guard looks fine for me.
Looking back at what Rain or Shine got for Mocon. I do not think they can actually get a sure win deal. This deal is just right and it provides flexibility for their future.
On the other hand, Ginebra will get a 3rd big that will bring something different.
Terrafirma
Gian Mamuyac, 2024 ROS 1st for Joshua Munzon
The concept here is easy. I do not think Munzon is a bust. Munzon is playing well below the standard that is being set by Mikey Williams, Calvin Oftana and Jamie Malonzo.
So, it is easy to see him as a bust. And if Terrafirma believes that, Rain or Shine can take advantage of that and offer the package above.
I saw enough to say that Munzon has the tools to be at par of his batch mates in the PBA Draft
