Meralco Bolts managed to enter the semifinals of the last three tournaments but failed to win a crown. Their match-up with San Miguel Beermen this Philippine Cup made it obvious what they badly need.
Their guard and wing position is good enough with Aaron Black, Chris Newsome, Bong Quinto, Allein Maliksi and many more there.
What they need though is a giant center.

If you look at the numbers, Maliksi was the more productive player in the past few years. But we all know why. Tautuaa is the back-up of the best player in the league. Even with his low playing time, it is still pretty obvious that Tautuaa is one of the giants that a team can rely on.
I also think that he will be an excellent fit for Meralco because he is willing to take three-point shots. Black is an adept slasher and getting a pick-and-pop buddy will be good for him.

If Meralco cannot get a giant, how about a big body that can defend them in Belga? Belga is of course familiar with Raymond Almazan and I think a Belga-Hodge duo will be one of the most entertaining ones in the league.
I also think that Belga will work well with the willing-passing guards and wings of Meralco. Belga is a quick decision maker who will maximize the passes of Black, Newsome and Quinto.
