PBA Analysis: Ginebra team B's great start is legit or a fluke?

After a dominant blasting of the Blackwater Bossing, Bay Area Dragons was right away the talk of the PBA universe.

Their second game was against Northport and even the coach of Northport was frightened with what he saw in the first game of Bay.

Their game last Saturday was very entertaining as Northport managed to go toe-to-toe with the foreign squad and they ended up needing a buzzerbeater by Myles Powell to get the win.

Northport won their first game in a come-from-behind fashion. With Northport suffering another farm team trade, a lot of Ginebra fans are happy to see them do well because that will help them defend the recent lopsided trade by their favorite team.

The problem is, Northport also had a good start in the Philippine Cup. They won their first two games and coach Pido even told the media that his current roster is best.

Northport ended up losing eight of their last nine games and they got eliminated after the elimination round. So, if you think Northport is already for real, think again.

What is very interesting for me is the good start and plenty of awesome superstar glimpses in Arvin Tolentino. He showed that he can create plays for others, that his three-point shooting is legit and his defense can actually work in another system.
