PBA Analysis: Phoenix Tyler Tio is a future PBA superstar?

A few weeks after the breaking rumor report from Bilyonaryo that the PBA franchise of Phoenix can be sale, no updates had been given.

And the team inside the court is starting to heat up! They just gave an L to the mighty Barangay Ginebra San Miguel!

I mean, the fans of Ginebra are pumped earlier this week because they defeated the mighty Bay Area Dragons. And then suddenly, they got defeated by a team that lost their face of the franchise for nothing before this tournament?

And after the game, coach Tim Cone cannot help himself from giving a praise for Tyler Tio! He said that Tyler is turning into a superstar!

Is he?

The rookie is averaging 16.6 points, 48% FG, 38% 3FG, 1.4 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.0 steal per game. That is a very clean statline for a guard.

Coach Topex has trusted him as the main play creator and he is delivering. He did not enter the league as a point guard but he has natural basketball wits to back up his high skill.

With those numbers, I think it is pretty clear that Tio has a path to becoming a superstar. With his looks alone, the guy can be a marketing superstar.

Add that to the winning momentum that they are having and I think I will agree with coach Tim that Tyler is a future superstar.

The question is, is he also a future Ginebra player?
