PBA Imports Highlights: San Miguel made the right decision to replace an NBA veteran?

After a disappointing 1-2 start with Diamond Stone, San Miguel Beermen has decided to make a change to Devon Scott.

Stone has the pedigree of being an NBA veteran but that pedigree failed to show up on the court. He ended up committing the worst game arguably by an import this tournament.

Devon is only 28 years old and without any NBA games under his belt. What he has though is a vast amount of experience in the International game.

Was the decision to replace Diamond, correct?

Yes. Because Diamond's fit with the Beermen was not that good. He is a poor shooter who is not that good of a passer.

Devon will not bring the shooting that San Miguel needs but he is a much better passer than Stone. That alone can be a big improvement for San Miguel.

Unfortunately, chemistry issues could derail them. Although, if Devon is a natural passer, he can easily become reliant first to the locals to make it flow better.

Overall, the change was needed. And I think San Miguel has the talent to make it work.
