We have an interesting trade rumor from the PBA Insider News. It states that if the guard continues to be benched, he could be traded soon.
Who are the best candidates for this?
Converge - Michael DiGregorio and Taylor Browne
The reality is, Converge has a very deep guard rotation. With Maverick Ahanmisi playing very well, the challenge to distribute minutes to every capable guard is hard.
A veteran and a young guard are rooting on the bench because of it. Browne has not played a single game in this conference. He is a big guard with good glimpses of being a starter in the PBA during the time of coach Jeff Cariaso.
Michael, on the other hand, is a certified sniper. But his efficiency is now down. Without consistent minutes, it will be hard for him to get back to his rhythm. I think, it will be reasonable for Converge to trade one of them and a get a player that they better need.
Magnolia - Jerrick Ahanmisi
He was the first round pick of Magnolia last year. Unfortunately, he has failed to crack the rotation and get consistent minutes. They can still claim that he has good potential if they trade him now as a sophomore. Once he reach Junior status, that will be harder to claim.
