PBA Power Ranking: Top 10 Title Contenders! Ginebra is #1?

As we get closer to the end of the elimination round and the start of the playoffs of the 2022 PBA Commissioner's Cup, the excitement is getting higher and higher.

Here is our updated top 10 contenders!

#10 NLEX
I decided to go with NLEX as my #10 contender instead of Rain or Shine because of the greatness of Earl Clark. He is really showing that he is an NBA veteran.

#9 Meralco
The decision to go with KJ McDaniels has reignited the good offensive flow and sturdy defense of the Meralco Bolts. They are making a last push for one of the last playoff birth.

#8 TNT
Mikey Williams was suspended and has a cold start into the conference. He is now back to his normal range of numbers. Add RR Pogoy's rise and TNT is a capable team of surviving the twice-to-beat disadvantage.

#7 Phoenix
Phoenix hot streak ended and they are now on a three-game slide. Their numbers are still great being the #2 team in assists and top 5 in opponent's points per game.

#6 Northport
On the other hand, Northport is on a three-game winning streak. I think William Navarro is legit and a very unique player. I hope his sudden ascension will keep Robert Bolick in the team in the near future.

#5 San Miguel
Another team that is making a last push to avoid a twice-to-beat disadvantage is San Miguel. Fajardo is trying to make a return. Will it be worth it?

#4 Magnolia
Magnolia has done it again. They are very impressive in this elimination round. The problem as always is their pretty obvious weaknesses like being last in three-pointers made per game and top 5 worse in terms of turnovers per game.

#3 Converge
Converge has the coach and import to win it all. I cannot trust them with a top 2 slot because of their local roster. The talent is not on the level as the top 2. But I admire the sudden improvement in the numbers of Jeron Teng.

#2 Ginebra
I decided to keep Ginebra in number 2 because of the growing injury concerns in the team. Christian Standhardinger is about to return. Will he be healthy enough?

#1 Bay Area
Bay is averaging the most points per game and top 3 in terms of opponents points per game. A clear indication of how good Bay Area is. They are the safest team to put in the #1 spot.
