PBA Power Ranking: Top 5 PBA Franchises that can be SOLD next!

We heard a lot of rumors of a PBA franchise sale this 2022 and we saw one. Converge Fiber Xers takeover the franchise of Alaska Aces.

Now, there are other franchises that are rumored to be on sale. The question on everyone's mind now is, which one will go next?

So, here is our ranking!

#5 Magnolia Hotshots
Out of the three San Miguel Corporation, Magnolia was the one that was part of rumors of being sold soon. It is not that surprising considering how Magnolia is treated.

#4 Rain or Shine Elasto Painters
This one has a concrete timeline of 2023-2024 and the source is the #1 PBA insider in the country, Snow Badua. Rain or Shine has been lukewarm in terms of contending for a title. So, thinking of finally giving up their franchise will be a sensible decision.

#3 Northport Batang Pier
Out of all the farm teams, Northport is the one who has maintained some ability to compete. But I am pretty sure maintaining farm teams is costly for the corporation who is maintaining them.

#2 Phoenix Super LPG
I am actually surprise that Phoenix is still in the PBA because of how legit the news was about the financial turmoil in the companies of Dennis Uy. They also managed  to overcome the departure of Matthew Wright. Unfortunately, the current turmoil could be too much for them to overcome.

#1 NLEX Road Warriors
PLDT is currently handling their own corporate financial struggles. Knowing that NLEX may not be benefitting positively from joining the PBA, there is a good chance that the MVP group will just decide to cut cost. NLEX has been treated also like a de facto farm team by the management.
